Is this you?
You might recognise yourself here:
- Your body is going through changes — hormonal, physical or emotional — and things don’t feel quite in balance
- You’re experiencing symptoms such as fatigue, digestive issues, pain, fertility challenges or hormonal shifts
- You may be feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or recovering from a period of illness or burnout
- You are sensitive to stress and notice how your body responds to what is happening in your life
- You are open to a treatment process that takes time and works with the body rather than forcing quick results
- You value careful listening, depth and a calm, supportive environment
If this resonates with you, we will probably work well together.
Areas I often work with:
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine may offer support during times of physical, hormonal and emotional change.
Women & Hormonal Health
Support during hormonal transitions such as cycle changes, fertility challenges, perimenopause and menopause.
Stress & Emotional Balance
Support for stress, burnout and emotional pressure affecting the body and nervous system.
Pain & Physical Complaints
Support for pain, tension, fatigue and other physical symptoms connected to imbalance in the body.
How treatment works
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine work by supporting the body’s natural ability to restore balance and resilience. Rather than focusing only on individual symptoms, we look at the patterns connecting physical health, emotions and the nervous system.
During a consultation, we take time to understand what you’ve been experiencing — physically, emotionally and in the context of your life — so treatment can be tailored to your individual situation.
Treatment is gentle, attentive and responsive. Many people notice not only changes in symptoms, but also a greater sense of steadiness, clarity or ease in themselves.
Your first appointment
Your first consultation lasts around 75–90 minutes.
We begin with a conversation about your health, current symptoms and the wider context of your life and wellbeing. This helps us understand the patterns behind what you are experiencing.
Depending on the situation, treatment may include Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, warmth (moxa) or simple supportive suggestions.
Many people find that simply having the space to be listened to carefully is already an important part of the process.
About Alison
I’m Alison Menzies, founder of Heart Space, a practice based near Eindhoven. My work is grounded in careful listening, presence and attention to the whole person. I aim to create a calm and supportive space where the body has room to settle and recover.
Having experienced many of the challenges women can face in their health — including fertility struggles, menopause and serious illness — this has deeply shaped the compassionate and grounded way I work.
